A new era...

The Twins have been building towards this moment for so many years. It is hard to believe how far this team has come since the early 2000's. The Twins were on the chopping block of MLB teams. Bud Selig was trying to move MLB out of the funk that it had been in from the lock-out plagued 90's. There were teams that he thought were holding baseball back and the Twins happened to be one of them. The Twins players were not satisfied with this solution.

The Twins went on a magical run over the next years to bring the team back from the brink of extinction. They made the ALCS in 2002 and went on a stretch of winning multiple division titles. The Twins still needed a new stadium to stay viable in a changing economy. A new stadium had to be built.

The new stadium has been built. Fans have had opportunities to see a parking lot in the warehouse district of Minneapolis turn into a shrine of all that is good with Minnesota baseball. Now the season begins. A new era in Twins baseball, a new era of hope, and a new era to bring a World Championship back to all of Twins Territory.
