All-Star Vote Overload

If on Sunday Justin Morneau is announced as the starting first baseman for the American League All-Star game (On nation's birthday, All-Stars to be unveiled), I would personally like to take credit for it. I know he has had close to 2 million votes cast in favor of him, but I still took on my own personal campaign for Morneau in the past few weeks.

I have used every email account in my possession to vote the maximum 25 times. I have also taken the liberty of voting for my fiance, mom, dad, grandparents, etc. I know that each one of them want to see Morneau starting at first as well. Overall it has been quite the All-Star vote overload.

It has become a three horse race for the starting first base position between Morneau, Miguel Cabrera, and Mark Teixeira. As of the last update earlier this week Morneau had a slight advantage over the other candidates (Mark Teixeira pushing Justin Morneau at first base in AL All-Star voting).

Hopefully my hard work pays off. But more importantly, Morneau's hard work should be recognized and rewarded. He is having an MVP caliber season and should be starting at first on July 13.
