Quotes about Target Field

Just opened my season ticket renewal guide for the 2011 season. There is a lot of new stuff to discuss including the new Sweet Spot Benefits and Rewards that are Exclusively for Twins Season Ticket Holders. I just opened the envelope so I am still sorting through things. I will post about all the new perks of being a season ticket holder. Here are some quotes that were on the envelope about Target Field from the 2011 Season Ticket Renewal Guide:

"Target Field looks to be the Eighth Wonder of the World, a temple on the order of Wrigley or Fenway or the Acropolis, a beautiful little bandbox of a ballpark tucked snugly into the streets of old warehouses and the Burlington rail yards, with commuter trains running to its front door, a sight that fills me with unmitigated dizzy delight."- Garrison Keillor, in The New York Times

"Target Field is more than I think anyone, including myself, could have imagined."- Joe Mauer, Catcher, Minnesota Twins

"This is the fulfillment of a lot of dreams... Target Field has as much character, if not more character, than any ballpark in the country." -Bud Selig, Commissioner of Major League Baseball

"From the limestone on the dugout roof to the gate handles shaped like the state of Minnesota to the scoreboard hat updates the pitcher's walks plus hits per inning pitched after every play, Target Field fits the Twins' character."- Tyler Kepner, The New York Times

"Squeezed snugly at the edge of downtown, the lovely Mankato limestone ballpark opned on a warm, April afternoon that turned on more Minnesotans than Mary Tyler Moore's smile."- Jim Caple, ESPN.com

"Target Field is an exquisite as a steak dinner at Murray's. Everything is first-class, from the clubhouses to the bathrooms. It will be a crown jewel in baseball for generations."- Bob Nightengale, USA Today
