Baseball Bloggers Alliance Day

Happy Baseball Bloggers Alliance Day to one and all!

What's that?
You haven't heard of the Baseball Bloggers Alliance.  Well let me explain...

The Baseball Bloggers Alliance (BBA) was developed to encourage collaboration between baseball bloggers in markets across the country.  There are blogs from across MLB including current teams, baseball history, fantasy baseball, and various other baseball topics.

Besides being able to collaborate with other bloggers there are many other benefits to being a member of the BBA.  The Alliance collaborates to vote on a variety of different awards and honors.  In October the members of the BBA vote on the year-end awards in all of the major categories that are voted on by the Baseball Writers of America.  Around the Mid-Summer Classic bloggers are asked to submit their All-Star rosters.  Currently the members are submitting their votes for this year's Hall of Fame class.

I came to know about the BBA from Seth Stohs of  During October he began to post information about an association that he belonged to and the awards that they had voted on.  I went to the BBA website and explored their Constitution.  I quickly found that it is an organization that would help me to have a bigger presence on the web and to allow me to get connected to other bloggers.

I haven't been a member of the BBA for a long time but I have enjoyed the last couple months of membership.

There are currently six members of the BBA that are associated with the Minnesota Twins.  You can visit their sites and check out their BBA Day posts (if they write one).
