Happy 4th Anniversary

On February 3, 2010, I started posting at this blog and it is amazing how much my life has changed because of the writing on these internet pages. My early work wasn't the best writing in the baseball world but just starting the blog pulled me in closer to the Twins and to the baseball writing community.

If you look back at my first post, it gives a brief look into the life of a Twins fan living in North Dakota. For most of my college years, I had spent money to travel back and forth between Grand Forks, ND and the Metrodome to catch as much baseball action as possible. There were trips to spring training, playoff tickets purchased, and a lot of hope for the future.

I started this blog as a way for my voice to be heard in relation to the Twins. I never expected to have a ton of people turning to me for my opinion but that's not what I was worried about. The Twins blogging community was so strong and I wanted to be even a small part of that moving forward.

Over these past four years, I have always been surprised about the growth of the Twins blogosphere. Here are just a few of the things I have been able to accomplish over the last four years and it shows some of the growth seen in Twins Territory.

Last month, I was given an early anniversary present as I crossed a new milestone for this site. For the first time in my history, there were over 10,000 monthly page views at my blog. In the grand scheme of things, this might not sound like a lot but it had never happened before and it's all because of readers like you.

I don't write these posts for the page views or for any kind of financial gain. I do this writing because I am passionate about the Minnesota Twins. I want to thank you for visiting this site even whether you are a regular visitor or a first timer. I hope you enjoy what you find on this site.

A new baseball season is quickly approaching and one line from my first post stuck out to me. There is always a renewed hope surrounding the beginning of a baseball season. Every team has a chance to do something special. As I wrote those four years ago, "These new beginnings allow for new hopes in Twins Territory and hope is never a bad thing."
